Normally pumps can be selected through the hydraulic selection and through the product selection. Under certain circumstances, however, it can be useful to hide pump series in the hydraulic selection and only make them available in the product selection. This is especially helpful when the Spaix Product Configurator is supposed to be used for products other than pumps.

To set up the feature as described above, please follow these steps:

1. In the the Spaix Database open the item „Area of application“
2. Add an entry in the area of application tree on highest lever an highlight this entry.
3. Drag the relevant series in the center area, into the “Series” list; make sure this series is not allocated to any other area of application.
4. Add an additional characteristic to the „Parameter names“ list named „Visible“, type „Select from list“ und abbreviation (value) „false“
5. Allocate this parameter to the area of application by dragging it to the center area
6. Close the area of applicaiton window, save and confirm
7. If necessary, restart the Selection program to activate the changes

• theHydraulic Selection via the area of application, the duty point and additional parameters
• the Product Selection Browser as a direct access by series and pump type
• the Spare-Parts Selection from part lists or drawings.
