Spaix Inside: How Can I Add a Weblink to a Product?

For data entry Spaix has the so-called Additional pages, which is a powerful tool to provide interesting documents combined with program-internal product information. The files are displayed in the selected language and can be interdependent on operating data or the selected configuration. Besides local files specific websites can also be embedded here.

Subject area: Data maintenance
Target group: Project Managers / Data entry personnel at the pump manufacturer
Product: Spaix Classic/Online + Spaix Database
Version:2.1 or higher

You first have to create a local HTML file in order to embed a website as additional page. It can either contain a classical link to your website or a meta-forwarding. The code for the entire HTML page for the latter is very simple:

<head>
<Title>Website</Title>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=http://www.mywebsite.com/">
</head>
<body>
</body>

Simply replace http://www.mywebsite.com/ with the desired address (URL). Then save the HTML file in the subdirectory \Docs\En\ of your data directory.

In case the website is available in several languages, repeat the procedure, enter the URL for the relevant language version and save the file in the subdirectory \Docs\ that corresponds with the language (e.g. \Docs\De\ for the German version).

Afterwards you can allocate the website to a pump or a component in the Spaix Database by selecting the HTML page in Additional pages. A restriction regarding the relevant product configuration or operating data can be set up on the Additional pages. Thus you could, for example, purposefully display information only relevant for a certain medium.

The Spaix LayoutCustomizer offers further options for the use of weblinks. You can enter individual links for the program’s Home page, the Registration page as well as the News page in the pump selection dialogue.
